I own a t-shirt printing business and I needed a program to edit my graphics. That's how well it works. I used this program to edit my family's Christmas picture. oh and its good for photos too :). This works great. I was just starting my business so I needed something cheap to start out with and I could not afford the $400 photoshop program I was using.
I had no experience using any other program and had no idea if this would even do what I needed it to. I'm so glad that I tried this one and didn't borrow money to buy the way more expensive program. I absolutely love this program. LOVE IT. I have no intention of buying another program when my business grows. Its super easy to edit my client's predetermined graphic and its even easier to create a custom one. LOVE IT.
And if you are a screen printer looking for a program to edit your graphics then this one is way worth it. I had used a photoshop trial version before but like all trials it ran out. you know, like giving myself a tan, whitening our teeth, and taking off a few pounds the camera adds on. Even more than I hoped it to. It has the layers option that I was looking for. This really is an amazing program. LOVE IT.
I have used many other programs for editing and printing photos, this by far has been the best and easiest to use. It has a quick mode for rapid review, selection, minor editing and adjustment, and quick printing of photos that is better than most other expensive programs. I plan on deleting everything else.
A-mazing. Now at 29, I wanted something with similar capabilities that was easier to learn and use(and a budget friendly price)., and this fits the bill exactly, since I got it on an Amazon Gold Box Deal. I was able to do all these things and more with Paint Shop Pro. I also took out some Corel Paint Shop books at the library. One of those books recommended using this program with the a Wacom Pen Tablet. I easily figured out the basics without looking at the manual. The x3 version, which also looks awesome, but was a bit out of my budget. For me Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo x2 Ultimate has a very logical, common sense approach.
For years I've really enjoyed doing photo restoration from my family's extensive collection(going back to the early 1900's). Then I recently got a Nikon D5000 SLR, and wanted a better program to manipulate my photos. In college I learned Adobe Photoshop, but I found it frustrating and hard to use even though I'm usually pretty computer savvy. Otherwise, do everything by hand to fit your wishes. Great hue/saturation, brightness and contrast, flash fill, and noise reduction. Both were great in giving step by step instructions for common photo problems(low light, distracting objects, etc). I don't know why I waited this long to get this, but I'm so glad I did. I have great control over scratch retouching, etc.
Be forewarned though, a new version is being released 2/24/10. With this pairing, I feel I can do wondrous things to my images. Great "smart fix photo" step, to see how the program chooses to change your photo. Then you can adjust from there to your liking. I chose the pen and touch model, and it turned this program into pure heaven. Awesome program for the photography buff on a budget.
Much easier to use and much cheaper than Adobe PhotoShop. Can find almost all the same features as PhotoShop and have the money left over for more stuff.Enjoy.
I love my Paint Shop Pro, I have been using it since Dec.25,2009. I have a great laptop but the photoshop really crawled along. This program is easy to use, has great features: thinify, suntan, skin smoothing, frames and auto adjust. I am so glad I read reviews on Amazon before buying, it was a great investment.
